- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon brown sugar optional
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Wash the wings well and dry them with a paper towel.
Dry wings cook better and get crispy.
Put them in a large mixing bowl.
Make the Louisiana Rub
Take a small bowl.
Add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, black pepper, salt, oregano, thyme, and brown sugar.
Mix them well with a spoon until even.
Coat the Wings
Pour olive oil on the wings.
Sprinkle the rub mix all over the wings.
Mix with your hands or tongs.
Make sure every piece is coated with the rub.
Bake or Air-Fry the Wings
For Baking:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the wings on a baking tray with parchment paper.
Bake for 25–30 minutes.
Flip the wings halfway.
They should look golden and crispy.
For Air Fryer:
Set air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
Cook for 20–25 minutes.
Shake the basket halfway.
Cook until wings are crispy and slightly brown.
Serve and Enjoy
Take the wings out and let them cool a bit.
Serve them with ranch or blue cheese dip.
