Ingredients
  

  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • ½ cup water or broth

Instructions
 

Wash and Cut the Peppers

  • Wash the peppers well. Cut off the tops. Remove seeds. Slice into strips.

Heat the Pan

  • Put a skillet on medium heat. Add olive oil. Let it warm.

Cook Garlic

  • Add garlic to the hot oil. Stir until golden. Do not burn.

Add Peppers

  • Add sliced peppers. Stir to coat them with oil and garlic.

Add Seasonings

  • Add oregano, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Mix well.

Add Water or Broth

  • Pour in water or broth. This makes peppers soft.

Cover and Cook

  • Cover the pan. Cook for 20 minutes. Stir often.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the peppers. Add more salt or spices if needed.

Serve Warm

  • Serve hot as a topping or side dish.

Notes

  • Use fresh peppers for the best flavor.
  • Cook slowly for soft, sweet peppers.
  • Add a little sugar for extra sweetness.
