Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Banana leaves for wrapping
  • Water for steaming

Instructions
 

Prepare the banana leaves

  • Wash and cut banana leaves into small squares.
  • Heat them lightly over fire to make soft.

Make the batter

  • Mix rice flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • Pour coconut milk slowly and stir until smooth.

Wrap the mixture

  • Scoop some batter into banana leaves.
  • Fold neatly and tie if needed.

Steam the wraps

  • Put the wrapped batter in the steamer.
  • Steam for 30–40 minutes until cooked.

Cool and serve

  • Take them out and let cool a little.
  • Unwrap and enjoy your soft Binalay.

Notes

  • Use fresh banana leaves for best taste.
  • Stir batter well to avoid lumps.
  • Do not put too much batter in each wrap.
  • Steam on medium heat for even cooking.
  • Let it cool before unwrapping for nice shape.
