Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Wings

  • Wash and dry the wings well. Dry wings help the rub stick better. Cut them into small pieces if needed.

Step 2: Make the Dry Rub

  • In a bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, cayenne, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well. This mix gives that spicy, smoky taste.

Step 3: Coat the Wings

  • Put wings in a bowl. Add olive oil and mix well. Then add the spice mix and toss until all wings are coated.

Step 4: Cook the Wings

  • You can bake, air fry, or fry them.
  • To bake: Put wings on a tray. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 mins.
  • To air fry: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 mins, shake halfway.
  • To fry: Fry in oil at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 mins.

Step 5: Make the Hot Honey Sauce

  • In a small pan, warm honey and hot sauce on low heat. Stir until smooth. Don’t boil it.

Step 6: Toss the Wings

  • Put the cooked wings in a bowl. Pour the warm honey sauce over them. Mix until all wings are coated.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

  • Your tasty wings are ready! They are sweet, spicy, and shiny—just like Wingstop.

Notes

  • Dry wings before cooking for extra crispiness.
  • Add more or less cayenne for spice control.
  • Warm honey a bit for better mixing.
  • Add butter for richer flavor.
  • Toss wings in sauce before serving to keep them crisp.
