Ingredients

  • 2 cups watermelon cubes no seeds
  • 1 cup kale leaves washed
  • 1 small banana for sweetness, optional
  • ½ cup cold water or coconut water
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

Cut the Watermelon

  • Cut the watermelon into small cubes. Take out all the seeds. This helps the smoothie blend well.

Prepare the Kale

  • Wash the kale leaves nicely. Remove the hard stems. Cut the leaves into small parts.

Add Ingredients to Blender

  • Put watermelon, kale, banana, and ice in the blender. Add water or coconut water. Add lemon juice and honey if you like it sweet.

Blend Until Smooth

  • Blend for one to two minutes. Make sure it looks smooth and creamy. If it is too thick, add more water.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the smoothie. Add honey if you want more sweetness.

Serve Cold

  • Pour the smoothie into glasses. Add a few ice cubes if you want. Drink it fresh and cold.

Notes

  • Use ripe watermelon for a sweet taste.
  • Freeze watermelon cubes before blending for a cold drink.
  • Use baby kale for a softer taste.
  • Add banana to make it creamy.
  • Mix in chia seeds or flaxseeds for more fiber.
  • Use coconut water for extra freshness.
