Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of carrots peeled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Carrots

  • Wash and peel the carrots. Cut them into even pieces. Make sure they are the same size so they cook well.

Boil the Carrots

  • Fill a pot with water and boil it. Add the carrots and cook for about 8–10 minutes. They should be soft but not mushy. Drain the water using a colander.

Melt the Butter

  • Put butter in a pan and heat it on medium. Let it melt and bubble a little, but don’t let it burn.

Add Sugar and Honey

  • Add brown sugar and honey to the butter. Stir until the sugar melts and the sauce looks shiny.

Coat the Carrots

  • Add the boiled carrots to the pan. Stir gently so the sauce covers all pieces. Cook for 5 more minutes.

Season and Garnish

  • Add salt and pepper for flavor. Sprinkle parsley on top before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the carrots; keep them a bit firm.
  • Use fresh carrots for the best taste and color.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon for a cozy flavor.
  • You can use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Add a little extra butter at the end for more taste.
