Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 cup white onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare tomatoes

  • Wash tomatoes. Cut into small cubes.

Chop onion

  • Peel onion. Cut into tiny pieces.

Chop cilantro

  • Wash cilantro. Chop finely.

Add jalapeño

  • Chop jalapeño very fine. Remove seeds for less heat.

Mix ingredients

  • Put tomato, onion, cilantro, and jalapeño in a bowl.

Add lime juice

  • Squeeze lime juice. Stir gently.

Season with salt

  • Add salt. Mix again.

Rest for flavor

  • Let salsa sit 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Fresh lime juice is best.
  • Remove tomato seeds to keep salsa less watery.
  • Chop small for even bites.
  • Add jalapeño slowly. Adjust spice to taste.
