  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

Instructions

Prepare the Mushrooms

  • Clean and trim mushrooms. Slice large ones in halves or quarters. Keep small mushrooms whole for even cooking.

Heat the Pan

  • Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and olive oil. Let butter melt slowly without burning.

Cook the Mushrooms

  • Add mushrooms to the skillet. Stir gently to coat with butter. Cook for eight to ten minutes until golden.

Add Garlic

  • Add minced garlic to mushrooms. Stir quickly and cook one to two minutes for fragrance.

Season Simply

  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the mushrooms. Stir well to mix evenly for best flavor.

Add Optional Lemon

  • Drizzle a small amount of lemon juice for brightness. Stir gently to combine without breaking mushrooms.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from heat. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve immediately as a side dish for steak or chicken.

Notes

  • Use fresh mushrooms for best taste.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to avoid steaming.
  • Cook over medium heat for golden edges.
  • Add garlic near the end to prevent burning.
