Ingredients

  • 4 Chilean sea bass fillets
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

Season the Fish

  • Pat the sea bass dry. Add salt, pepper and a little olive oil on both sides of the fish.

Heat the Pan

  • Warm olive oil in a pan. Heat until slightly shimmering but not smoking.

Sear the Fish

  • Place fish in the pan. Cook until golden on one side. Flip and cook again for color.

Make the Sauce

  • Mix lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl until smooth.

Add Sauce to Pan

  • Pour the sauce over the fish. Let it bubble gently and coat the fillets evenly.

Add Butter

  • Place butter in the pan. Let it melt into the sauce to create a rich glaze.

Bake the Fish

  • Move the pan or fish to a baking dish. Bake until soft and fully cooked.

Check Doneness

  • Use a fork. If the fish flakes easily, it is ready for serving.

Add Fresh Herbs

  • Sprinkle parsley on top. This adds color and fresh taste to the dish.

Serve Warm

  • Serve the fish hot. Make sure each fillet gets enough sauce for great flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh fish for the best texture.
  • Do not overcook the fish.
  • Always pat the fish dry before cooking.
  • Use real butter for a rich taste.
  • Add sauce only after searing the fish.
