Mix Everything Together

  • Put all the spices in a small bowl. Mix them well using a spoon or whisk. Make sure there are no lumps. The color should look even.

Store the Seasoning

  • Put the spice mix into an airtight jar. Write the name and date on the jar. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. It stays good for up to 6 months.

Use the Seasoning

  • Use about 2 tablespoons of the mix for one chicken. You can mix it with oil or butter for more flavor. Rub it well on the skin and under it too.

Cook the Chicken

  • You can roast the chicken in the oven or cook it in a rotisserie. The seasoning makes the skin crispy and the meat juicy.

Notes

  • Use smoked paprika for a rich flavor.
  • Add lemon zest for a fresh touch.
  • Mix seasoning with oil before rubbing on chicken.
  • Let chicken rest for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Add rosemary or sage for a nice smell.
