Ingredients
  

  • 12 Ronzoni lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar pasta sauce 24 oz
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

Cook the noodles

  • Boil water in a pot. Add salt and oil. Cook noodles until soft but firm. Drain and set aside.

Make the meat sauce

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook until soft. Add beef and stir until brown. Pour pasta sauce and spices. Cook for 10 minutes.

Mix the cheese filling

  • In a bowl, add ricotta, egg, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Mix well. This makes creamy layers.

Layer the lasagna

  • Grease a baking dish. Spread sauce at the bottom. Add noodles, cheese mix, and mozzarella. Keep layering. Finish with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.

Bake the lasagna

  • Cover with foil. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes more. The top should be golden and bubbling.

Rest and serve

  • Let it rest for 10 minutes. This keeps it firm. Cut and serve warm.
