Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Butter melted – 1 cup
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
  • Raspberry jam – 1 cup
  • Fresh raspberries – 1 cup

Instructions

Prepare the Baking Pan

  • Line the baking pan with parchment paper. Press it well into the corners for clean edges.

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • Add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt to a bowl. Whisk until the mix looks even.

Add the Melted Butter

  • Pour melted butter into the dry mix. Stir well until crumbs form and the texture feels sandy.

Press Half the Crumbs

  • Place half the crumb mix in the pan. Press it down firmly to form a strong base layer.

Spread the Raspberry Jam

  • Add raspberry jam on top of the base. Spread gently so the layer stays smooth and even.

Add Fresh Raspberries

  • Place fresh raspberries over the jam. Spread them so every bite has sweet berry flavor.

Add Remaining Crumbs

  • Sprinkle the rest of the crumb mix on top. Do not press too much to keep the crumble texture.

Bake the Squares

  • Bake the pan at 350°F for thirty-five minutes. The top should look golden brown and crisp.

Cool Before Cutting

  • Let the bars cool fully. Cut them gently into squares when firm and easy to slice.

Notes

  • Use fresh raspberries for strong flavor.
  • Melt butter fully for smoother crumbs.
  • Keep the jam layer thin for cleaner slices.
  • Let the bars cool fully before cutting.
  • Add a little lemon zest for a bright flavor.
