  • Pie crust – 1 store-bought or homemade
  • Ketchup – 2 tablespoons optional
  • Mustard – 1 teaspoon optional

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish lightly to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Pie Crust

  • Place the pie crust in the dish. Press gently to fit. Trim extra edges.

Cook the Beef

  • Heat skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, salt and pepper. Cook until browned.

Add Onion and Garlic

  • Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until soft and fragrant.

Drain Excess Fat

  • Remove skillet from heat. Drain any extra fat to keep filling light.

Spread Beef in Pie Crust

  • Place cooked beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie crust.

Add Cheese

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over beef. Make sure it covers all areas.

Mix Eggs and Milk

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk until smooth. Add ketchup and mustard if desired.

Pour Egg Mixture

  • Carefully pour egg mixture over beef and cheese. Do not overflow crust edges.

Bake the Pie

  • Bake pie 30–35 minutes until eggs set and top is golden. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality ground beef
  • Pre-cook onions for more flavor
  • Shred your own cheese for best melting
  • Let pie rest before cutting
  • Avoid overfilling to prevent spilling
