Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt as needed
  • Black pepper as needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  • Wash the chicken and pat it dry. Add salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Let it sit for a few minutes to soak in flavor.

Cook the Bacon

  • Heat a frying pan on medium. Add bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside on paper towels. Keep a little bacon grease in the pan.

Cook the Chicken

  • Add olive oil and a bit of bacon grease to the pan. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5 minutes on each side until brown.

Add the Sauce

  • Brush each chicken piece with honey mustard sauce. It gives a sweet and tangy flavor.

Add Cheese and Bacon

  • Sprinkle cheese on top of each chicken breast. Crumble the cooked bacon over the cheese.

Bake the Chicken

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Move chicken to an oven dish. Cover with foil and bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese melts well.

Garnish and Serve

  • Take out the chicken and sprinkle parsley on top. Serve hot and enjoy your homemade Outback Steakhouse Chicken.

Notes

  • Use fresh chicken for better taste.
  • Don’t skip the honey mustard. It gives real flavor.
  • You can use Monterey Jack cheese instead of cheddar.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Add more bacon for a smoky flavor.
