Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ cup honey mustard sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  • Dry the chicken with paper towels. Brush each piece with olive oil. This keeps the chicken soft and helps the spices stick.

Season the Chicken

  • Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Sprinkle this on both sides of the chicken. Rub it in gently.

Heat the Grill

  • Turn on the grill or grill pan to medium heat. Brush it with a little oil so the chicken doesn’t stick.

Grill the Chicken

  • Put the chicken on the grill. Cook for 6–7 minutes on each side. The chicken should be cooked and have grill marks.

Add Sauce and Toppings

  • Brush the chicken with honey mustard sauce. Add cheese and one slice of bacon on each piece. Let it stay on low heat until the cheese melts.

Garnish and Serve

  • Take the chicken off the grill. Add chopped parsley on top. Serve it hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the chicken, or it will get dry.
  • Use fresh chicken for better taste.
  • Oil the grill to stop the chicken from sticking.
  • Add some barbecue sauce for more smoky flavor.
  • Rest the chicken for two minutes before cutting.
