  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce optional

Instructions
 

Mix the base

  • Put sour cream and mayonnaise in a bowl. Mix well.

Add tomato paste

  • Add tomato paste for tang and rich flavor.

Add lime and vinegar

  • Pour in lime juice and vinegar. Stir to blend taste.

Add spices

  • Add chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Add heat

  • Add hot sauce for extra spice. Stir again.

Blend for smooth texture

  • Blend in a small blender for silky texture. Optional step.

Taste and adjust

  • Taste the sauce. Add lime for tang or chili for spice.

Chill before serving

  • Put in fridge for 30 minutes. This mixes flavors well.
