Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter soft
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • Food coloring optional
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Beat the Butter

  • Beat soft butter in a bowl. Mix until smooth, creamy, and very soft for easy blending.

Add the Cream

  • Pour heavy cream into the butter. Mix well until silky and smooth for the mint dough.

Add Peppermint

  • Add peppermint extract and salt. Mix gently to spread the cool flavor evenly through the dough.

Add Powdered Sugar

  • Add powdered sugar slowly while mixing. Keep mixing until you get a soft dough.

Divide the Dough

  • Split the dough into small parts. Add different food colors if you want pretty pastel mints.

Roll the Dough

  • Roll each dough piece into long ropes. Keep them even for smooth and cute mint pieces.

Cut the Mints

  • Cut the ropes into tiny mint squares. Keep the size equal so they look neat and clean.

Dry the Mints

  • Place mints on parchment paper. Let them dry for a few hours until firm and ready.

Notes

  • Use soft butter for smooth dough.
  • Do not add too much cream.
  • Add food color very lightly.
  • Keep the mints small and even.
  • Let them dry fully before storing.
