Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets 6 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds optional
  • Chopped green onions optional

Instructions

Make the Glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix miso paste, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir until smooth. This is your miso glaze. It should smell sweet and salty.

Season the Salmon

  • Dry the salmon with paper towels. Add a little salt and pepper on both sides. This helps it cook better and stay juicy.

Add the Glaze

  • Spread the miso glaze on top of the salmon with a spoon or brush. Cover it well so every bite tastes good.

Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Turn on the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Heat it for 3 minutes. This helps the salmon cook evenly.

Cook the Salmon

  • Place the salmon in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Cook for 8–10 minutes. Do not flip it. The salmon will be soft inside and a little crispy on top.

Check If It’s Done

  • Use a fork to check the salmon. If it flakes easily, it is ready.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Put the salmon on a plate. Add sesame seeds and green onions if you like. Serve it hot with rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the salmon. It can get dry.
  • Use fresh salmon for better taste.
  • Try brown miso if you want a stronger flavor.
  • Add chili paste if you like spicy food.
  • Clean the air fryer basket after cooking to remove smell.
