Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley optional

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 400°F. Let it heat fully before baking the puffs.

Mix the Potatoes

  • Place mashed potatoes in a bowl. Stir to make them smooth and soft.

Add the Cheese

  • Add shredded cheese to the potatoes. Mix until the cheese blends well.

Add Eggs and Milk

  • Pour eggs and milk into the bowl. Mix until the batter looks creamy.

Season the Batter

  • Add salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix gently to spread the flavors.

Grease the Muffin Tray

  • Use melted butter to grease each muffin cup. This stops sticking.

Fill the Cups

  • Spoon the potato mix into each muffin cup. Fill about three-fourths full.

Bake the Puffs

  • Place the tray in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and crisp.

Cool Before Serving

  • Let the puffs rest for five minutes. Remove them gently with a spatula.

Notes

  • Use warm mashed potatoes for smooth mixing.
  • Add more cheese for extra flavor and crisp edges.
  • Do not overfill the muffin cups.
  • Use a non-stick tray for easy removal.
  • Add herbs like chives for a fresh taste.
