Ingredients

  • 1 pound imitation crab meat cut or shredded
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped celery
  • ¼ cup chopped red onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

Prepare the Crab Meat

  • Cut the crab into small pieces. You can use real crab if you want. Put it in a large bowl.

Add the Creamy Base

  • Add mayo and sour cream to the crab. Mix well so all pieces are coated. This makes the salad creamy.

Add Seasoning

  • Add Old Bay, garlic powder, paprika, and lemon juice. Put in a few drops of hot sauce. Mix well so the flavors combine.

Add the Veggies

  • Add celery and onion. They give the salad a nice crunch.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the salad. Add salt, pepper, or more lemon juice if needed. Make it more or less spicy as you like.

Chill the Salad

  • Cover the bowl and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes. This helps the flavors mix well.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Sprinkle parsley on top. Serve the salad cold for the best taste.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for bright flavor.
  • Add chopped jalapeño if you like it spicy.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of mayo for a lighter version.
  • Chill the salad before serving.
  • Mix gently so the crab doesn’t break apart.
