Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking dish with oil. This helps prevent sticking and allows even cooking of the chicken.

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper. Stir well until combined. This marinade gives the chicken fresh flavor.

Marinate the Chicken

  • Place chicken in the marinade. Coat well on all sides. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. This helps the chicken absorb all the flavors.

Arrange in Baking Dish

  • Place marinated chicken into the baking dish. Pour any extra marinade over the top. Add chicken broth around the chicken to keep it moist during cooking.

Bake the Chicken

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until chicken is cooked through. The top should be slightly golden. The inside should be juicy and tender.

Add Butter for Flavor

  • In the last 5 minutes, add small pieces of butter on top. This makes the sauce richer and adds a smooth taste to the dish.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve warm with your favorite sides for best flavor.
