Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking

For serving:

  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Your favorite sauce

Instructions
 

Prepare the mixture

  • Put ground turkey in a bowl. Add onion, garlic, bread crumbs, cheese, parsley, thyme, mustard, egg, salt, and pepper.

Mix gently

  • Mix with hands or spoon. Do not overmix or it gets tough.

Shape into patties

  • Divide into four parts. Make round flat patties.

Heat the grill pan

  • Brush pan with olive oil. Heat on medium-high.

Cook the burgers

  • Place patties in pan. Cook 6–7 minutes each side. Inside should reach 165°F.

Toast the buns

  • Toast buns in pan for 1–2 minutes.

Assemble the burgers

  • Put each patty on a bun. Add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and sauce.

Serve hot

  • Enjoy warm juicy turkey burgers.

Notes

  • Use fresh herbs for good flavor.
  • Do not press patties when cooking.
  • Check temperature for safety.
  • Add cheese inside for more moisture.
  • Rest patties 5 minutes before eating.
