Ingredients
  

  • 1 bone-in turkey breast 5 to 6 pounds
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic smashed
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Place rack in the center position.

Prepare the Turkey

  • Pat turkey breast dry using paper towels. Place in roasting pan.

Make Herb Butter

  • Mix butter, olive oil, herbs, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Season the Turkey

  • Rub herb butter all over turkey breast and under skin gently.

Add Aromatics

  • Place lemon, onion and garlic around the turkey in pan.

Add Broth

  • Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the roasting pan.

Roast the Turkey

  • Cover loosely with foil. Roast for 60 minutes.

Remove Foil

  • Remove foil. Roast 15 more minutes until skin turns golden.

Check Temperature

  • Check internal temperature. It should reach 165°F in thickest part.

Rest Before Cutting

  • Let turkey rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
