- 20 to 24 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Cook the pasta shells
Boil water in a large pot, add salt, cook jumbo shells until tender but still firm, then drain carefully and cool slightly.
Mix the cheese filling
In a large bowl combine ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, egg, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper until smooth, creamy and well blended together.
Cover and bake
