Ingredients
  

  • 6 –8 ripe plums pitted and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold and cut into pieces

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish lightly with butter or oil.

Prepare Plums

  • Pit and slice plums. Place in a bowl. Add sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir gently.

Make Topping

  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, and salt. Mix well until even.

Add Butter

  • Add cold butter pieces to topping mixture. Use fingers or a pastry cutter until crumbly.

Assemble Crisp

  • Pour plum mixture into baking dish. Sprinkle topping evenly over plums.

Bake

  • Bake for 35 minutes until topping is golden and plums are bubbling.

Cool and Serve
