Ina Garten Peach Clafoutis Recipe

Emily Grace
The Ina Garten peach clafoutis recipe is light, fruity and perfect for summer desserts. I love how simple it is to make. This dessert combines juicy peaches with a soft, custard-like batter.

Ingredients

  • 4 –5 ripe peaches peeled and sliced
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Instructions

Preheat the oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter your baking dish well to prevent sticking.

Prepare the peaches

  • Peel the peaches carefully, remove the pits and slice them evenly. Set aside in a bowl.

Make the batter

  • Whisk together eggs, sugar, flour, milk, vanilla and salt until smooth. Ensure no lumps remain.

Add melted butter

  • Stir in the melted butter gently. This keeps the custard smooth and adds richness to the batter.

Arrange peaches in dish

  • Place peach slices evenly in the buttered baking dish. Spread them so each bite has fruit.

Pour batter over peaches

  • Slowly pour the custard batter over the peaches. Ensure the peaches are mostly covered.

Bake the clafoutis

  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 40–45 minutes. Custard should be set and slightly golden.

Cool slightly

  • Remove from oven and let it cool for 10–15 minutes. This helps the custard firm up a little.

Serve

  • Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use ripe, juicy peaches for sweetness
  • Butter the baking dish well to avoid sticking
  • Mix batter gently to avoid overworking flour
  • Bake until lightly golden on top
  • Let it cool slightly before serving
