- 1 teaspoon chili powder

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- Optional: chopped fresh cilantro and lime wedges for serving
