Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepperGarlic Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • cups beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

Prepare the Meat Mixture

  • Place the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, thyme, salt and pepper into a large bowl. Mix gently until everything is evenly combined.

Shape the Meatloaf

  • Transfer the meat mixture onto a prepared baking sheet or loaf pan. Shape it into a smooth loaf without pressing too firmly to keep it tender.

Bake the Meatloaf

  • Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for about one hour. Cook until the center reaches 160°F (71°C) using a meat thermometer.

Cook the Garlic

  • While the meatloaf bakes, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook gently until fragrant without browning.

Make the Sauce

  • Whisk the flour into the butter mixture. Slowly pour in the beef broth while whisking. Stir in the heavy cream and cook until smooth and creamy.

Rest the Meatloaf

  • Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about ten minutes. This helps the juices stay inside every slice.

Slice and Add Sauce

  • Cut the meatloaf into thick slices. Spoon the warm garlic sauce generously over each serving and sprinkle fresh parsley on top.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve immediately while everything is hot. Pair it with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables or fresh bread for a complete homemade meal.
