Ingredients
  

  • Ground beef – 2 pounds
  • Yellow onion – 1 medium chopped
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 2 cloves minced
  • Bread crumbs – 1 cup
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Eggs – 2 large
  • Ketchup – ½ cup
  • Worcestershire sauce – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley – 2 tablespoons chopped

For the Glaze

  • Ketchup – ½ cup
  • Brown sugar – 2 tablespoons
  • Worcestershire sauce – 1 teaspoon

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Heat oven to 325°F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Cook Onion and Garlic

  • Heat olive oil in a pan. Cook onion and garlic until soft and lightly golden.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a bowl, mix milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper well.

Add Bread Crumbs

  • Add bread crumbs to the wet mix. Stir gently until crumbs soak fully.

Combine Meat

  • Add ground beef and cooked onion mix. Mix gently using hands. Do not overmix.

Shape the Meatloaf

  • Place meat mixture on pan. Shape into a loaf evenly for even cooking.

Make the Glaze

  • Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.

Add Glaze

  • Spread glaze evenly on top of the meatloaf using a spoon.

Bake the Meatloaf

  • Bake uncovered for sixty minutes. Check if center is fully cooked.

Rest Before Cutting

  • Let meatloaf rest ten minutes. This keeps it juicy and easy to slice.
