Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces spaghetti or linguine
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil salted water. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat Olive Oil

  • Warm olive oil in a skillet. Add garlic and onion. Sauté until soft.

Add Tomatoes

  • Add cherry tomatoes to the pan. Cook until they start to soften.

Pour the Wine

  • Add white wine to the skillet. Let it simmer for two minutes.

Add Broth and Simmer

  • Pour chicken broth. Let the sauce reduce a little.

Add Pasta and Cream

  • Add cooked pasta and heavy cream. Toss until coated evenly.

Add Parmesan and Basil

  • Stir in Parmesan and basil. Mix well and season with salt.

Serve Hot

  • Serve the Italian drunken noodles warm. Add red pepper flakes if you like.
