Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups canned chickpeas drained
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 4 tablespoons cold water
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Olive oil for topping

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chickpeas

  • Drain the chickpeas well and rinse them under cold water until they look clean.

Add Ingredients to Processor

  • Place chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and spices in the food processor.

Blend the Mix Smoothly

  • Turn on the processor and blend everything until the mixture becomes thick and smooth at first.

Add the Olive Oil Slowly

  • Pour olive oil slowly through the top opening to help the mixture turn creamy and silky.

Add Cold Water for Texture

  • Add cold water one spoon at a time to make the hummus light and soft.

Adjust the Seasoning

  • Taste the hummus and add more lemon, salt, or garlic if you want a stronger flavor.

Serve with Garnish

  • Spoon hummus into a bowl and add paprika and olive oil on top before serving.
