Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

Instructions
 

Blanch the Green Beans

  • Boil water in a large pot. Add green beans and cook for 3–4 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.

Toast the Almonds

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced almonds. Toast them 2–3 minutes, stirring often until golden and fragrant.

Sauté Garlic in Butter

  • Add butter and olive oil to the skillet. Add minced garlic. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Do not burn garlic.

Add Green Beans

  • Add drained green beans to the skillet. Toss to coat with butter and garlic evenly. Cook 3–4 minutes until heated through.

Mix in Toasted Almonds

  • Add toasted almonds to green beans. Stir gently to combine flavors and maintain crunch.

Season the Dish

  • Add salt, black pepper and lemon juice if desired. Stir gently and taste. Adjust seasoning to your preference.

Serve Immediately
