  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 large eggs beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream for serving, optional

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the oven rack in the center position to ensure even baking of the pie.

Prepare Pie Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract and salt until smooth and fully combined.

Add Chocolate

  • Fold in chocolate chips gently into the mixture. Stir carefully so chocolate is evenly distributed without melting completely.

Arrange Pecans

  • Place pecan halves evenly in the bottom of the unbaked pie shell. Make a nice layer for crunchy texture.

Pour Filling
