Ingredients
  

  • 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 pound broccoli cut into small florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of nutmeg optional

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Set the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9-inch pie dish with the crust. This ensures the quiche bakes evenly and stays flaky.

Cook the Broccoli

  • Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender. Season with salt and pepper. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, cream, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix until smooth and creamy for a perfect quiche filling.

Add Cheese and Broccoli

  • Stir in Gruyère and half of the Parmesan cheese. Fold in cooked broccoli gently. This makes sure the cheese and broccoli are evenly distributed.

Fill the Pie Crust

  • Pour the egg and broccoli mixture into the prepared pie crust. Spread evenly for a uniform quiche. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top for a golden finish.

Bake the Quiche

  • Place in preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes. The quiche is done when the top is golden and the filling is set but slightly wobbly in the center.

Cool and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let the quiche cool for 10 minutes. Slice carefully and serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor.
