Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup good quality mayonnaise
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves packed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Prepare the Basil

  • Wash fresh basil leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towel. Remove thick stems. Use only soft leaves for smooth texture.

Add Ingredients to Blender

  • Place basil leaves into food processor. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Make sure everything is evenly placed inside.

Blend Until Smooth

  • Blend the mixture on medium speed. Stop and scrape down sides if needed. Blend until sauce becomes smooth and light green in color.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the basil mayo with clean spoon. Add more salt or lemon juice if needed. Blend again briefly to mix flavors well.

Chill Before Serving

  • Transfer sauce into airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This helps flavors blend together beautifully.
