Ingredients
  

  • 8 pork sausages
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds potatoes peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cook the sausages

  • Heat oil in skillet. Cook sausages until brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Boil the potatoes

  • Place potatoes in pot. Cover with water. Boil until fork tender.

Mash the potatoes

  • Drain potatoes. Add butter and milk. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Season the mash

  • Add salt and pepper. Mix well. Keep warm.

Cook the onions

  • In same skillet, add onions. Cook slowly until soft and golden.

Make the gravy

  • Sprinkle flour over onions. Stir well. Slowly add broth while stirring.

Simmer the gravy

  • Let gravy simmer until thick and smooth. Season to taste.

Combine and serve

  • Place mash on plate. Add sausages. Spoon gravy on top.
