Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets – 2 pieces
  • Honey – 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic minced – 3 cloves
  • Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Cornstarch – 1 teaspoon optional, for thick glaze
  • Water – 2 tablespoons

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon

  • Pat the salmon dry using paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. This helps bring out the natural flavor and improves texture during cooking.

Make the Glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic and lemon juice. Stir well until smooth. This mixture will create a rich and balanced glaze for the salmon.

Heat the Pan

  • Place a skillet on medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm. Make sure the pan is hot before adding the fish for better cooking results.

Cook the Salmon

  • Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan. Cook for about 4 minutes. Flip carefully and cook another 3–4 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Add the Glaze

  • Pour the honey garlic mixture into the pan. Let it bubble gently. Spoon the glaze over the salmon continuously so it coats the fish evenly.

Thicken the Sauce

  • Mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl. Add it to the pan. Stir gently. The sauce will become thick and glossy in a few minutes.

Finish Cooking

  • Cook for another 1–2 minutes. Make sure the salmon is fully cooked and coated well. The glaze should stick nicely to the fish surface.

Serve Immediately

  • Remove from heat and serve hot. Spoon extra glaze on top. Enjoy the sweet, savory and rich flavor in every bite.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for strong flavor
  • Do not overcook the salmon
  • Use good quality honey for better taste
  • Cook on medium heat to avoid burning
  • Spoon glaze over fish while cooking
  • Add chili flakes if you like spice
