Ingredients

  • 1 pork tenderloin about 500g
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the Pork

  • Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towel. This helps it brown better. Trim any extra fat or silver skin using a sharp knife carefully.

Season the Meat

  • Rub the pork with salt, pepper, paprika and thyme. Make sure all sides are coated well. This step adds flavor to every bite.

Heat the Pan

  • Place a skillet on medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it get hot. A hot pan helps create a golden crust on the meat.

Sear the Pork

  • Place pork in the hot pan. Sear each side for 2 to 3 minutes. Turn using tongs until all sides are golden brown and slightly crispy.

Add Butter and Garlic

  • Add butter and crushed garlic to the pan. Spoon melted butter over the pork while cooking. This adds rich flavor and keeps meat moist.

Transfer to Oven

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Transfer the pan to the oven. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes until pork is cooked through.

Check Doneness

  • Use a meat thermometer if possible. The inside temperature should reach 63°C (145°F). This ensures the pork is safe and juicy.

Rest and Slice

  • Remove pork from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice into pieces and drizzle with pan juices before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh pork for best results
  • Do not skip resting time
  • Use a hot pan for good sear
  • Add butter for extra flavor
  • Cook to correct temperature
  • Slice after resting for juicy meat
