  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • Oil for frying
  • ½ cup sugar for coating

Instructions
 

Mix the dry items

  • Add flour, sugar and salt to a bowl. Mix well so the dough becomes even and smooth.

Mix the wet items

  • Combine warm milk, melted butter and egg. Mix until the liquid looks smooth and creamy.

Add yeast

  • Add yeast into the warm milk mix. Let it sit for a few minutes so bubbles start forming.

Make the dough

  • Pour the wet mix into the dry mix. Stir until a soft dough forms in the mixing bowl.

Knead the dough

  • Knead the dough on a clean surface until smooth. This helps the dough become soft and stretchy.

Let dough rise

  • Place dough in a bowl. Cover it and rest for one hour until it becomes big and fluffy.

Roll the dough

  • Place the dough on a flat surface. Roll it gently with a rolling pin until medium thick.

Cut the doughnuts

  • Use a doughnut cutter or ring. Cut doughnut shapes and remove small center pieces.

Heat the oil

  • Place oil in a pot. Heat until medium hot and ready for frying doughnuts safely.

Fry the doughnuts

Remove from oil
