Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups dried chipped beef chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 –6 slices toasted bread

Prepare the Beef

  • Chop the dried beef into small pieces. Rinse lightly if too salty for your taste preference.

Melt the Butter

  • Place butter in a pan. Let it melt slowly on medium heat until it becomes smooth.

Add the Flour

  • Stir flour into melted butter. Cook for one minute to remove raw flour taste completely.

Pour in the Milk

  • Add milk slowly while stirring. Whisk gently until sauce becomes smooth, creamy and thick.

Add the Beef

  • Stir in the chopped beef. Mix well to spread flavor and heat the beef evenly in the sauce.

Season the Sauce

  • Add salt and black pepper. Stir gently to balance flavors without making the dish too salty.

Toast the Bread

  • Toast bread slices until golden and crisp. Use any bread you like for best results.
