Who does not love Pizza Hut breadsticks? They are soft, buttery and full of garlic flavor. Making them at home is easier than you think.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions
 

Activate Yeast

  • Mix warm water, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.

Mix Dough

  • Add flour, salt and olive oil. Mix until dough forms.

Knead Dough

  • Knead dough on floured surface for 5 minutes. Dough should be soft and smooth.

Let Dough Rise

  • Place dough in a bowl. Cover with a cloth. Let rise 1 hour until doubled.

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Shape Breadsticks

  • Divide dough into 6 pieces. Roll each piece into a long stick shape.

Prepare Garlic Butter

  • Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and parsley. Stir well.

Brush Dough

  • Brush half of garlic butter over breadsticks before baking.

Bake Breadsticks

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and soft in the center.

Brush Again

  • Brush remaining garlic butter on hot breadsticks. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use warm water to activate yeast properly.
  • Don’t over-knead dough; it should stay soft.
  • Let dough rise fully for fluffier breadsticks.
  • Brush butter while breadsticks are hot for best flavor.
  • Use fresh garlic instead of powder for stronger taste.
