Ingredients
  

For the Dough:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

Activate the Yeast

  • Mix warm milk with 1 tsp sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top. Wait 5 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dough Ingredients

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Add egg, butter, and yeast mixture.

Knead the Dough

  • Knead dough on floured surface for 8–10 minutes. Dough should be soft and smooth.

First Rise

  • Put dough in a greased bowl. Cover with cloth. Let rise 1 hour.

Prepare Cinnamon Filling

  • Mix softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.

Roll the Dough

  • Punch dough down. Roll into a rectangle, about 12x8 inches.

Add the Cinnamon Swirl

  • Spread cinnamon mixture evenly on dough. Leave edges free.

Form the Loaf

  • Roll dough from long edge. Pinch edges to seal.

Second Rise

  • Put rolled dough in greased loaf pan. Cover and rise 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven

  • Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure oven is hot before baking.

Bake the Bread

  • Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and firm.

Cool Before Slicing

  • Cool bread on rack for 20 minutes. Slice carefully with sharp knife.

Notes

  • Use fresh yeast for better rise.
  • Warm milk should be 100–110°F.
  • Knead dough until soft and smooth.
  • Let dough rise fully for fluffy bread.
  • Spread cinnamon mixture evenly for a perfect swirl.
