Ingredients

  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows optional
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare baking sheet

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.

Melt butter and chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and white chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time.

Add vanilla

  • Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the melted chocolate mixture.

Mix with cereal

  • Pour the crispy rice cereal into a large mixing bowl. Pour melted chocolate over cereal and stir gently.

Add marshmallows

  • If using, fold in mini marshmallows for extra sweetness and texture.

Spread on baking sheet

  • Transfer mixture to prepared baking sheet. Press gently with a spatula to form an even layer.

Add sprinkles

  • Sprinkle red and green sprinkles on top while mixture is still warm. Press lightly to stick.Let it set
  • Allow Christmas Crunch to cool completely at room temperature. Chocolate will harden and hold the cereal together.

Break into pieces

  • Once set, break the Christmas Crunch into small squares or bite-sized pieces for easy serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for richer flavor.
  • Do not overmix chocolate and cereal; it may break cereal.
  • Press mixture gently on baking sheet for even thickness.
  • Add sprinkles while chocolate is warm to make them stick.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep crunchy.
