Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 120g all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
  • ½ cup 50g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup 120ml milk
  • ½ cup 120ml vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup 120ml hot water
  • ½ cup 120ml heavy cream
  • 100 g dark chocolate for ganache

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your cake pan and lightly flour it.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.

Add Wet Ingredients

  • Add milk, oil, eggs and vanilla. Whisk until smooth with no lumps.

Add Hot Water

  • Slowly pour hot water into the batter. Mix gently until well combined.

Bake the Cake

  • Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check with a toothpick.

Cool the Cake

  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then move to a wire rack.

Prepare Chocolate Ganache

  • Heat heavy cream until warm. Pour over chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.

Pour Ganache on Cake

  • Once the cake is fully cooled, pour ganache on top. Spread evenly with a spatula.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Cut into slices. Serve at room temperature. Enjoy your rich chocolate cake!
