Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon dried herbs oregano or thyme

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and black pepper.

Add Cheese and Olives

  • Fold in shredded cheddar cheese and sliced black olives. Mix until evenly distributed.

Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk milk, olive oil and eggs until smooth and fully combined.

Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients

  • Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until just combined.

Add Herbs (Optional)

  • If using dried herbs, fold them into the batter for extra flavor.

Transfer to Loaf Pan

  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake the Bread

  • Bake in preheated oven for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool the Bread

  • Remove bread from oven and let it cool in pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack.

Slice and Serve

  • Slice bread into pieces. Serve warm or at room temperature as a snack or side dish.

  • Use sharp cheddar for stronger flavor.
