Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium cabbage chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika optional
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14 oz
  • ½ cup beef broth or water

Instructions
 

Cook the Beef

  • Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add the ground beef. Cook it on medium heat. Stir until the beef turns brown. Drain the extra oil.

Add Onion and Garlic

  • Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until soft. This gives the beef a nice smell and flavor.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

  • Add diced tomatoes and beef broth. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well and let it cook for a few minutes.

Add Cabbage

  • Add the chopped cabbage to the pan. Mix it with the beef and tomato. The cabbage will look a lot, but it will shrink when it cooks.

Cook Until Soft

  • Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes. Stir a few times. The cabbage should be soft and juicy. Taste and add more salt or pepper if needed.

Serve Warm

  • Turn off the heat and rest for one minute. Serve hot with rice, bread, or mashed potatoes. Enjoy your easy homemade meal!

Notes

  • Use fresh cabbage for the best flavor.
  • Do not overcook. Keep cabbage a bit firm.
  • Add chili flakes for spice if you like.
  • You can use ground chicken or turkey instead of beef.
  • Add soy sauce for more flavor.
