Ingredients

  • 1 pound thin beef steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: jalapeños hot sauce, or steak spice

Instructions

Cook the Beef

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the beef and season it with salt and pepper. Cook until brown and juicy. Stir well while cooking. Remove from the pan and keep it aside.

Cook the Veggies

  • In the same pan, add butter. Add onions and peppers. Cook for 5–6 minutes until soft and golden. They add sweetness and flavor.

Mix the Filling

  • Put the cooked beef back with the veggies. Stir well. Add some cheese and mix until it melts. The filling will look creamy and cheesy.

Warm the Tortillas

  • Place each tortilla on a warm pan for a few seconds. This makes them soft and easy to roll.

Fill and Roll

  • Put some of the beef mix in the middle of each tortilla. Add more cheese if you like. Fold and roll the tortilla tightly.

Toast the Burrito

  • Put the burritos back in the pan, seam side down. Toast both sides until golden brown. This step makes them crispy and tasty. Now your Buc-ee’s Texas Cheesesteak Burrito is ready to eat!
