Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 4 bananas sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 3 egg yolks
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Heat the Milk

  • Warm the milk in a saucepan until it gets hot but not boiling at all.

Mix Sugar and Cornstarch

  • In a bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks until smooth and creamy.

Add Hot Milk

  • Slowly add the hot milk into the mixture while whisking to avoid lumps forming inside.

Cook the Custard

  • Pour mixture back into the pan and cook until thick and creamy while mixing nonstop.

Add Vanilla

  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract to add sweet flavor to the custard.

Cool the Custard

  • Let the custard cool for a few minutes until warm and safe for layering later.

Prepare the Dish

  • Spread vanilla wafers in a serving dish and add sliced bananas on top evenly.

Add Custard Layer

  • Pour warm custard over the bananas and cookies and spread gently with a spatula.

Add Whipped Cream

  • Top with whipped cream and spread until smooth and fluffy across the surface.

Chill the Dessert

  • Place the pudding in the fridge for two hours to set and become thick and creamy.
