Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp brandy
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

Mix dry items

  • Add flour, baking powder and salt to a bowl. Mix well so the dry items blend and make smooth batter later.

Beat butter and sugar

  • Beat soft butter and sugar until fluffy. This adds air to the mix and makes the cake soft.

Add eggs

  • Add eggs one by one. Mix slowly so the eggs blend well and make a smooth batter.

Add milk and brandy

  • Pour milk and brandy into the bowl. Mix gently so the flavor spreads well and keeps the batter smooth.

Add dry mix

  • Add the dry mix slowly to the wet mix. Stir gently so the batter stays light and does not get too thick.

Add vanilla

  • Add vanilla for sweet smell. Mix lightly so the flavor spreads without making the batter heavy.

Pour batter

  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan. Spread the mix evenly so the cake bakes smoothly.

Bake the cake

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes. Check with a toothpick to see if the cake is fully cooked inside.

Cool the cake

  • Place the cake on a rack. Let it cool so the texture sets and the flavor gets stronger.
