Ingredients
  

  • 1 large bunch fresh kale washed and dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

Instructions
 

Prepare the kale

  • Wash the kale very well. Dry it fully. Remove thick stems. Tear leaves into large pieces.

Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Season the kale

  • Place kale in a bowl. Add olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss gently until coated.

Spread on the tray

  • Spread kale in one layer on the baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the leaves.

Roast the kale

  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Turn once halfway. Leaves should look crisp, not brown.

Finish and serve

  • Remove from oven. Add lemon juice if using. Serve warm for best texture.

Notes

  • Dry the kale fully before seasoning.
  • Use fresh kale for better crunch.
  • Do not add too much oil.
  • Spread kale evenly on the tray.
  • Watch closely during last minutes.
